Who is Kylie?
For as long as Kylie can remember, her family would watch a movie every Friday night. They’d have a big bowl of popcorn and they would all sit there together enjoying the magic that was happening on the screen before them. Whether the movie was a new release or one they’d seen 50 times, the magic was still the same. Thus, her love of movies was born.
Born into an Air Force family, Kylie was raised mainly in Germany, Belgium, and England. Because of this, she had the privilege of working with different theater companies. She first began acting at the age of 9 as a Munchkin in the Wizard of Oz. This is where she fell in love with creating characters and worlds for others to experience. For years after, Kylie struggled with deciding a career path. She wanted to do so many things but was trapped by the idea of picking just one. Instead, she chose to continue doing what she loved: acting. This way she could be all those things she wanted to be. She could experience worlds through the many eyes of different characters.
Growing up in such a diverse world greatly helped Kylie determine where she would continue her theater career. She attended George Mason University in Northern Virginia. With a great theater program and a largely diverse culture, Kylie knew this was the place for her. During her time at GMU, Kylie learned the in’s and out’s of theater production and found a true passion for the creation of film. Kylie wishes to create art that is inclusive, proactive, and open-minded and has recently moved to Los Angeles to make this happen.
